ironically this is actually about what's gone wrong with our LLMs for the most part, we give them contradictory instructions, hallucination is relatively rare these days
At least HAL 9000 had an excuse. He was originally programmed not to lie, and became psychotic when he was given specific instructions that compelled him to lie. But those were the old days.

One of the most interesting aspects of the original Muppet Show is that the organiser of the show (Kermit) struggles to push a serious premise between the competing forces of an entitled and chaotic cast, and an off-screen owner (Scooter's uncle)
There are currently no active conversations for a full ‘MUPPET SHOW’ series revival.
Disney, The Muppets Studio and Point Grey Pictures have had difficulties with deciding on a premise for the series that they can all agree on.
