Poster for my main OC story that I would like to make someday. Welcome to 9 Tail Heights, a city sprawling with nice folks, the latest in science and arts, and dimensional rifts that can pop out dinosaurs or killer robots, even talking balls, idk. And it's up to a few kids to take care of it all.
Not me staying up all night having a total crisis of life goals as the entertainment industry is dying and I can only wonder if drawing and storytelling was truly better off as a hobby and making a job, let alone an industry, out of it was nothing more than a lie from the start.

Thanks for nothing, Davey

The Mechanism: Enforcers can petition to reopen and "set aside" final consent orders if they determine the original terms failed to protect competition.

1. Federal Agencies Can Reopen and Vacate Prior
Decrees

When a new presidential administration takes office, the leadership at the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the Department of Justice (DOJ) often shifts. These agencies hold the power to review and undo previous agreements.

While a court-approved settlement (often called a consent decree) clears the immediate lawsuit, it does not permanently insulate a corporate merger from future intervention. Political shifts and regulatory changes can dramatically alter the survival rate of these deals through several legal avenues:

Just a reminder: a mega-merger can absolutely still be blocked or challenged even after state Attorneys General (AGs) reach a settlement and a federal judge approves it.

This thread pretty much sums it up.

Dooming about this won't fix anything or help anyone. Best we can do is ride it out until it inevitably falls apart like all other WB acquisitions, either due to all the debt, newly elected democrats, or maybe even some crazy Hollywood-wide revolt.
Response to Today’s News…

David Ellison might have won this war but he won’t have oversight of WB forever. Expect nothing much to change for now.

If this goes the way of AOL Time Warner or AT&T/WarnerMedia, WB will be rise up again.

WB has been under bad ownership before. This is no exception.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. There are way too many people in charge of entertainment who should not be in charge of entertainment.......i miss ted turner....

we're really just letting the industry crumble down, are we?
Paramount intends to complete their acquisition of Warner Bros next week.

I know this is not the biggest concern going these days, but it stresses me out that basically every artist/writer/critic is now expected to create their own tiny empire instead of getting paid by any existing entity to perform a job they've worked to get good at!!!!

Instead of doom posting, here’s what I hope happens:

A) Paramount-WB will be forced to split in the post-Trump administration

B) Debt’s too much to handle that they’d have to sell one half or both

C) Ellison’s get forced out so the company can have competent leadership

NEVERMIND! Ketchup, can you just.....BUY all the cartoons and studios from WB? They're not gonna be needing them where they're going😔
Ya know.....if the whole mess with Paramount can be stopped and WB gets that sweet sweet breakup fee.....Ketchup has the opportunity to have some fun with that in the chance WB ever comes back for this film.....
‘COYOTE VS. ACME’ has now officially surpassed the $30M amount Warner Bros. originally planned to write the film off for.

And then there's the small aspect of it being finished by October.

That isn't gonna happen. The WGA is still suing.

Or, if ya wanna get to the meat and potatoes of all this, who knows if other countries are gonna tolerate this enough to permit it, given Ellison and who's pocket he's in.

Then there's smaller aspects. Mainly the fact that literally anything can and will go wrong. The meeting with the WGA and SAG-AFTRA regarding all this, as an example.

For starters, the debt aspect.

Paramount at the moment is in so much debt that even if this goes through, they'll sell shit off immediately.
