Let's give away some free textures!

These sketchy tiling textures are a great base for stylized materials in Substance Painter + Designer, Blender, Unreal Engine, all sorts really!

I hope you enjoy using them, and please share the love! 🙌

Tiling Painterly Textures Vol. 2
Another collection of 8 painterly tiling textures. I've included a colour and a grayscale version of the four different textures so they're flexible in how they can be applied, but either way they'll ...

If you try to please everyone you will please no one, and the worst thing your game can be is unremarkable.
The Blood of Dawnwalker director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz has told me the game's divisive time mechanic won't necessarily feature in a sequel. https://bit.ly/4rd3gZY

Wrapped up the work on the latest prototype I'm calling KinMerge. It's like 2048 with a light strategy layer, all dressed up with a Dune vibe.

It's pretty fun to knock around in, if anyone would be up for playtesting and giving me some feedback I'd be chuffed.

I know prototypes are supposed to be quick and dirty greybox, but sometimes an idea needs a bit more of a visual element. This is the early stages for figuring out my slide and merge dynasty sim - 2048 meets Dune

Alternative headline:

Andrew Willson lays off everyone who worked on successful Battlefield 6 to steal all the wealth they created.
Despite its success, Electronic Arts rewarded some of those who made Battlefield 6 by laying them off. It's a different story for EA CEO Andrew Wilson.
After laying off Battlefield 6 developers, EA pays its CEO $38 million because Battlefield 6 did so well
That's an $8 million raise over 2025.

Game prototyping is going well, I'm nearly at the point where its worth showing to some people... any devs on here that'd be interested in playing and giving me some thoughts?

Hey friends living in the UK, would you care to add your signature?
Fuck these damn data centres.
Microsoft is planning to build three massive AI data centres in Leeds. It’ll drain thousands of litres of water from the River Aire and become the city's biggest carbon emitter. We can still stop the council's sign-off, but we need more voices. Add your name: you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/pr...

First game jam in years, done.

Weight Expectations is a store simulator where you balance items with junk on a physical scale to fulfil customer orders.

I’ve spent the past months getting back into game dev. Four learning projects of classic games to refresh my skills and build upon what I’d learned during game jams years back.

I’m finally out of learning land and today I started proper prototyping on one of my ideas 🙌

Little test in Unity. It's surprisingly painless to get textures from the iPad over to the PC, I could definitely see it being a viable workflow for some assets. If there was too much back and forth I could see it being a pain though.

The Banished Vault is on sale!

It's a strategy game about the difficult and terror of space travel. It uses nearly-correct math to determine delta-v, resources strictly tracked in the world, and dice rolls to simulate anomalies.
