On one hand, Nintendo still has that ToS that gives them the right to turn your Switch 2 into a $500 paperweight for any reason they see fit.
On the other hand, all the other video game companies are somehow dropping the ball even harder and I'm a sucker for Zelda special editions.

Every so often, I think about Michael Phelps' Olympic swimming career and this one bit that talked about how his short legs and long torso gave him a biological advantage that helped him win all the gold medals.

Someone will challenge me on this, but I think something that goes unappreciated in Zelda is that the races and species twist or sidestep the stock Tolkien "human heroes, snobby elves, drunk dwarves" etc.
There are even distinct tribes and cultures, generally informed by agriculture/land/etc

Food for thought. Does this design happen without the existence of fan projects like the "OoT in UE" videos? If the best and most logical design comes from fan art, do you make a similar, logical design and risk accusations of stealing fan art, or do you shake things up and risk missing the mark?

new zelda looks pretty nice imo but we will have to wait and see how long it takes king zora to move before jumping to any conclusions, we can only hope the switch 2 is strong enough to handle making the cutscene longer

I'm liking the look of OoTR, but my big fear at this point is that it'll be too faithful with not enough new stuff to justify buying OoT again. They spent a lot of time talking about the modern controls and the companion app and not enough about new things to do.
