Who needs CPU benchmarks when you can just run some fuzz testing? 😆

Good job little Noctua AIO, not even breaking a sweat!

It'll be back down to ~30C when I'm done.

It's October,

you know what that means...

Spooky Scary Skeletons on loop! Let's lock in! 😜

Why are the unions rushing to defend the triple lock?

You don't represent pensioners, they already have enough representation, you represent workers, whose public services are being cut to the bone to fund the triple lock.

Something I'm noticing, as somebody who uses NoScript, with Single Page Apps.

I'll see the full page load, then disappear again.

Why?

Because the page wanted to do a fade-in effect.

It renders the static content, hides it with CSS, loads the content over a JSON API, then fades in again.

Wat.

I've noticed _a lot_ more CloudFlare captchas since moving to Linux.

Every time, I have to "prove I'm human", can't even do it automatically.

Gotta get all those bots! (that their platform also hosts...)

> For the fault to occur, a higher-priority request had to arrive during that exact millisecond while the original request was part-way through updating a value.

A 1ms window for this bug to occur? Sounds like a race condition to me...

> Burnham will be last Prime Minister of UK, says John Swinney

Be careful John, that's some monkey paw bullshit right there.

You'll wake up and Burnham will have staged a military coup and crowned himself king.

Now imagine if they worked with Westminster, rather than just each other, to improve the UK...

Says man in dominant market position.

So all my new PC parts have arrived... except...

guess which numpty added the ATX version of the power supply instead of the SFX version to their basket for their small form factor build?

PlanetScale Neki for sharded PostgreSQL looks cool, could be open sourced at some point.

(also I know it's supposed to be from neko, but "nekky" is what I say instead of naked)

All this money flooding into Omarchy, why?

Where is all the money for the rest of the ecosystem? What about the projects Omarchy itself uses?

Why are they all funding this, I think is fair to say, extremist?

There is also a health risk to those around me before my coffee.

Recently drove an MG, which has "tiredness detection", which can detect you getting sleepy and warn you to stop and take a break.

I have a mild ptosis in my both eyes. I always look tired.

It would not shut up!

Back on my coding bullshit, and taking a page out the Linux Kernel on writing comments...

I was already in the process of migrating from 1Password to Bitwarden (well, Vaultwarden); so thanks for the hint to hurry up with that 1Password!

Okay so my PC parts are being delivered 11th of September (building a new PC).

So, DO NOT get confused if you see me celebrating...

Channel 4 have serious ethics questions to answer over "The Great ADHD Myth?"

Running a trial on a child, stopping their meds during exams to "see what happens" for TV; the presenter popping an Elvanse with no titration or supervision, a psych suggesting we need to bring back "corporal punishment"

People getting worked up about AI leaving "watermarks" in the text it generates.

Maybe, if that annoys you, write the text yourself? Maybe use that millions of years worth of evolution on top of your shoulders.

That is really fucking cheeky.

The Google Open Source code explorer is broken in Firefox.

Almost all Go resources, links from pkg.go.dev etc point to it.

This is what I've been tinkering with recently.

Trying to integrated directly with the Linux network stack.

I have basic link/address configuration working, as well as generic netlink and wireguard.

Need to focus tests, in particular, automate the integration tests.
