It’s the month I become a traditionally published author! The wait was slow and brutal, but now we’re 13 days away from Grace & Jo Have Never Solved a Murder being on shelves and in the hands of readers.

And we can't forget this PW review of GRACE AND JO HAVE NEVER SOLVED A MURDER by @jessmeywrites.bsky.social, publishing on 10/13/26! 🔎

"[R]eaders will be rewarded with a satisfying conclusion. Mey proves her chops on her first try."
The Publishers Weekly review for GRACE AND JO HAVE NEVER SOLVED A MURDER by Jess Mey: "In Mey’s affable debut, 30-year-old Grace Anderson leaves her Florida hometown to work as an assistant for renowned portraitist Garrett Baros in Philadelphia. One morning, she finds Garrett’s body slumped over his desk in a pool of his own vomit. The police suspect Garrett was poisoned the night before and clear Grace as a suspect. Shaken, Grace is considering returning to Florida when Garrett’s widow, philanthropist Jo Baros, knocks on her apartment door. Jo doesn’t trust the police will catch her husband’s killer, so she offers Grace a job helping her to solve the murder. What follows is a funny, good-spirited whodunit that races through a string of suspects and undercover operations, as when Grace and Jo pretend to run a cleaning business and offer a complimentary service to local politician Mark King, who wrongfully accused Garrett of having an affair with his wife. Mey tastefully balances the plot’s comedic and serious moments, fleshing out the blossoming friendship between the two women along the way. Though the momentum occasionally flags, readers will be rewarded with a satisfying conclusion. Mey proves her chops on her first try."

As Seen in Print! 🧵

Adam Oyebanji has a 🌟 STARRED 🌟 review in @publisherswkly.bsky.social! "Oyebanji’s worldbuilding is vast and detailed without ever overwhelming the mystery, on the way to a deeply satisfying resolution."

LINE OF DESCENT publishes 11/17/26!
The first 2/3rds of the starred Publishers Weekly review for LINE OF DESCENT by Adam Oyebanji: "Oyebanji (Esperance) impresses with a sci-fi mystery that cleverly combines a believable distant future with a fair-play whodunit. Thirty thousand people board the generation ship Archimedes for a 133-year voyage to a new home. But 109 years into the journey, the ship’s mission is imperiled. Dwindling resources and structural damage make completing the trip unlikely without drastic changes. Dissidents insist that the Archimedes, despite being more than 80% of the way to its destination, reverse course and return to the Home System, though attempted communications to the Home System have not been returned in decades. Against this fraught backdrop, security officer Faisal Vasconcelos has multiple mysteries" The last 1/3rd of the starred Publishers Weekly review for LINE OF DESCENT by Adam Oyebanji: "to investigate. First, Life Sciences sublieutenant Yoshi Graham, a rumored supporter of the dissidents, claims to have been kidnapped before being returned to his quarters. Before Vasconcelos can make progress on that case, he’s confronted with a murder: a corpse is found inside one of the ship’s reproductive incubator tanks, which were once used to spawn Vasconcelos himself. Oyebanji’s worldbuilding is vast and detailed without ever overwhelming the mystery, on the way to a deeply satisfying resolution. James S.A. Corey devotees will be thrilled."

Like a bugbear, a vampire spawn or a rogue weretiger, it's creeping closer … closer …

Just one more month until REMONSTERED! THE MONSTERS KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING reaches shelves! Why wait for it any longer than you have to? Pre-order your copy today! spyandowl.com/remons...
The cover of REMONSTERED! THE MONSTERS KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING: Five adventurers—a dragonborn paladin, a forest gnome barbarian, an orc druid, a tiefling bard and a goliath sorcerer—are fighting a rakshasa in the richly appointed office of a royal adviser. On the rear wall is a portrait of a handsome, mustachioed human who wears the exact same robes of honor as the rakshasa. The rakshasa is savagely tearing into the paladin's throat with its claws. The look on the paladin's face is of someone unexpectedly confronting his own mortality. The shellshocked barbarian looks like she's about to drop her absurdly oversize axe; the bard and the sorcerer are clearly terrified, holding their weapons limply. The druid, on the other hand, looks resolute, angry and unafraid. The cover is accompanied by text saying, "One more month! Pre-order today!"

My next book, ETERNITY'S TOMB, comes out in just a few months and I think it's pretty great, but you don't have to take my word for it. See what all these lovely people had to say! dmoren.com/writing/eter...
"A RAMBUNCTIOUS, SNARKY THRILL RIDE with enough creepy to raise goosebumps, and so much heart I couldn't stop myself from cheering on the idiots who thought the whole RAIDERS OF THE LOST TOMB thing was a good idea." -Adam Oyebanji, author of Esperance "A rip-roaring space adventure full of found family, deadly traps and bad decisions." - Cameron Johnston, author of First Mage On The Moon "THE SPACE CAPER TO BEAT THEM ALL, equal parts hilarious and heartfelt, with more TWISTS AND TRAPS than a mile-long escape room. My money's on THE MURDER BIRD!" -Helene Wecker, author of The Golem and the Jinni Trilogy "Weaves together the best elements of HEIST and SCI-FI DUNGEON- CRAWL-a floating tomb, a black hole, traps and puzzles, a crew fueled by SNARK and old business-into a well-paced narrative that deftly balances real stakes and adventure. Moren spins his tale with WIT and HEART and HUMOR: I laughed out loud more than once." -K. Eason, author of The Thorne Chronicles
