Psychologist into foul-mouthed tough love.
This made me laugh out loud. I tend to be a straight-talking therapist and have no doubt that someone who didn't like what I said told another therapist all about my shitty take. 😇

Have you ever paused and noticed a headache or bodily sensation and wondered how long it had been there? We are so distracted by the external that we've lost touch with your inner signals until they are alarm bells. #mindfulness

This puts things into perspective. I think the same could be said about your job. It is a good reminder that sometimes the familiar is preferable to the unknown. Maybe that is also why we resist change even in painful circumstances.

This. The negotiations with comfort as if it will get easier. It prolongs the pain.

This is very true. Mindfulness is about being present in the moment, and it also helps to have something to look forward to - #hope.

It often feels like we live in a world where cruelty-based criticism is sport.

With age, truly there is an awakening; maybe that time is not limited and not renewable.

This being human is quite heavy.

My favorite line: Givers attract takers. Try some "fuck right on off" energy.

Some days are like this. Good to find your people for centering.

September is national suicide awareness month. Suicide risk goes up when people feel alone, like they don't matter, like they don't belong. You matter. People matter. Be kind to everyone. People carry stories you know nothing about.

How about: my tolerance was so high I thought it was normal?! Callouses can be mental too. Perhaps they protect you in the short run, but better to get rid of the rub.

Whether you call it #manifesting, #selftalk, or #selfulfillingprophecy. You can do epic things!

It's called social support - your network, and it takes work to build it. Your people aren't always inside the cirlcle you are born into. The right network is cultivated.

Yes. All of this.

I'll leave it right there as we edge closer to a long holiday weekend. May you create space, recognize, and nurture your peace.
