Happy First Contact Day!
Why not take a look at some of the brand new shots from our latest fan film, “What We Did On Frontier Day”. This one promises to be one hell of an experience! If nothing else - it’s going to be our longest fan film ever!

I’ve been pretty quiet of late. It’s almost like I’m just not that big on using social media 😂 Maybe I’m just getting old

My daughter just accidentally invented the word “Assmiral” and I propose we use it to replace the word “Badmiral” in Trek lingo forever

Lessons after a few more goes
1. Definitely have more than one sun
2. Rendering is a bitch, but worth it for smooth 60fps
3. Need to figure out how to add space
4. Thank fucking God for free models on Sketchlab (and yes, I’ve made a note of the original model artists).

Lessons learned so far.
1. There are a lot of really nice ship models out there.
2. I need to figure out how to make SPACE
3. Rendering takes forever. Expected that one.
4. Scaling up is helpful.
5. Always have more than one sun.

Now at 77463. Slow and steady wins the race, and I’m actually really happy with some of the fun ideas that keep sparking as I go.
We sit at the evening of 6th September. My word count is 76013. Well on track for the 100 words a day I promised myself, even if I had a cheat day yesterday. I might up the count to 200 a day if this carries on.
The morning of 2nd September brings me to 74,893 words. Feeling pretty good about myself.

Decided I’ve been sitting on my next novel for too long. Currently sitting at 73,612 words after writing 1,200 today. Committed to writing 100 words a day until it’s done. Goal is 85,000 words minimum for a draft.

It’s kind of bad that you could now write a fanfic where Spock goes to Khan “your great great great granddaughter is pretty fine” and it technically would make sense.
