We don't want American-style politics in the UK.
September 16, 2026 at 7:39 AM
Petrol and diesel up 23% in a year. Fossil fuels are driving up costs and inflation.

Net zero ain’t just good for the planet. It’s good for our pockets too.

Britain can't be bought.

Reform UK have accepted over £70 million of donations from crypto billionaires, whilst promising to cut taxes for… you guessed it, crypto billionaires.

📈🎉 Real wages are rising 📈🎉

Pay is growing faster than prices, and faster than last quarter.

When workers have more cash, they spend more.

And more spending means more growth.

🎉GOOD CLIMATE NEWS🎉

The cost of solar panels has fallen by *98%* since the year 2000. Lots and lots of solar being installed around the world.
September 14, 2026 at 8:00 AM
Nigel Farage gets a £5m donation from a crypto billionaire.

Then Reform promises to cut tax rates for ... crypto investments.

And now two crypto billionaires are giving Reform *£72 million*.

That's a lot of crypto coincidences.

You wouldn't see Elizabeth I dressing up like this at the coast…

Together we will meet this moment, divided we absolutely won't.

We have a moral duty to help build a lasting peace for Israel and Palestine.

That's why we're sanctioning illegal Israeli settlements.
September 9, 2026 at 10:02 AM
AfD's support is highest in Germany's manufacturing heartlands. Same as Reform's support in the UK.

Deindustrialisation in 1980's -> fewer good jobs (for non-grads) -> rise of the Far/Radical Right today.

That's why we need to create good jobs for all.
September 9, 2026 at 7:35 AM
Will be on LBC Cross Questions 8 to 9pm

📈MORE GREAT CLIMATE NEWS🍃

UK solar power generation is hitting record highs. Solar power is much cheaper, so people are using a lot more o it.

On the train back to Loughborough, here's what I've been up to this week 👇

Bond rates are rising worldwide as spiking fossil fuel prices -> higher inflation.

This is why we're fiscal credibility hawks. Our strategy has two pillars:

1) Getting inflation down directly (through energy bill cuts)
2) Fiscal rule commitment (a credible path for bond traders)
September 3, 2026 at 7:30 AM
The reason fossil fuels are making us poorer might surprise you… (and this is how we're fixing it).
September 2, 2026 at 10:56 AM
The more dependent we are on fossil fuels controlled by foreign dictators, the poorer we will be.

Wars abroad lead to higher bills at home. Which then leads to higher inflation and then interest rates.

And a burning planet ain't good for business either.

Sad to leave Loughborough, but happy to be back in Parliament.

Here's what I am doing today to get your bills down 👇
September 1, 2026 at 10:26 AM
Gilts have risen today - along with bond rates *across advanced economies*.

This is primarily for two reasons:

1. Higher inflation expectations, because of higher gas prices from the war in Iran.

2. Rising U.S. Treasury yields, forcing up yields of other nations’ debt.
