I'm half-British and half-Thai. A random right-winger verbally racially abused me in the street for no reason at all. That same man was in my A&E ward a couple of days later due to a cardiac arrest. I was the doctor who saved him. There's a moral in that story somewhere.

Local libraries shouldn't just be for novels and children's storytime. Local libraries should offers access to academic journals. Maybe not every journal as there are so many. But they should offer access to a few of the top journals in every field.

Meanwhile, a new study from Yale estimates that Medicare for All would save over 114,000 lives and $1 trillion a year.
If this country was truly “pro-life,” we would have universal healthcare.
