Democrats caved and/or facilitated this monopolization of practically every major media property in the US into the hands of a MAGA fascist psychopath.

If the US had an opposition party, each of its presidential contenders would would vow to dissolve this monopoly by any means necessary.

This 33-year-old nurse told the FBI she knew she was “going to set him free” after border patrol agents brought in a man whose face was bloodied and seriously injured. She treated him and helped him escape, and she faces charges now.

He got away, and they never relocated him.

Prairieland were not "too radical" bc they used violence. The didnt

They were "too radical" because they understood "too early" that cops and ICE will gleefully kill peaceful protesters. they prepared to defend themselves and that preparation saved their lives. Theyre "too radical" bc they survived
I strongly disagree with using violence, for a number of reasons, but if I did believe in violence I wouldn't find this essay convincing.

Hancox-Li argues that we should judge actions on their effectiveness, and agrees left-wing violence can be effective, naming Mangione and Robinson as examples.
"Their actions ensured that they struggled to achieve sympathetic media coverage outside of a few left-wing outlets, struggled to attract material or legal support (the ACLU, for instance, refused to touch the case), and failed to achieve positive virality in the larger culture."

It would be nice if, at the very least, the people reporting on this stuff properly contextualized it by explicitly stating that if the president can do this the union has ceased to exist. It's not hyperbole or figurative language. There is no union. "Unconstitutional" doesn't cover it.

As always: if there's any class of people who do not have due process rights, then *nobody* has due process rights, because the government can just claim someone is in that class and there's no process to establish otherwise.
I need people to understand that this administration’s litigating position is (1) federal law currently mandates the detention, without bond, of every noncitizen who is allegedly unlawfully present and (2) constitutionally, they don’t get a day in court. they’re generally losing, but they’re trying.

The best story ICE could make up, after 12 hours, is that ICE agents shot someone in the head because they believed the person they shot, who was not accused of any crime, was a different person also not accused of any crime, and so "public safety" required killing them on the spot.
It took DHS 12 hours to come up with this statement,

And the best they could come up with is that ICE shot and killed an unarmed man who didn’t present a threat to the agents.

They know they fucked this one up.

And it’ll be up to state and local prosecutors—not the feds—to make the case
