What are your 21st century #horror suggestions? Movies or series all welcome.

This should be so obvious that it doesn’t need to be said, but given what kind of weekend it’s been on here, apparently it does:

If you don’t want old rapists running the world, in office, in the board room, making decisions for all of us

get comfortable with “ruining” young rapists’ lives

We need AI regulation yesterday. The incentive driving the doom scenario is simply greed.

I don't take PAC money from OpenAI, or any AI corporation, or any corporation for that matter.

As a pragmatic centrist, I read the Niemöller poem differently. After each group mentioned I pencil in what percentage of the population they are, and if it’s a small number I cross off their names as disposable. Poetry is fine but math wins elections!!

cause we were all on time for work that day
we all boarded that plane for to fly
and then while the fires were raging
we all climbed up on the window sill
and then we all held hands
and jumped into the sky

No contract, no coffee! ✊
After their largest and longest strike yet last November, unionized Starbucks workers say the company seemed ready to bargain for a moment, but then went back to stonewalling.

The union is now calling for a nationwide boycott to turn up the heat.
Starbucks Workers Are Calling for a Nationwide Boycott
Hoping to pressure Starbucks to finally sign a contract with its 12,000 unionized baristas, Starbucks Workers United has called for a boycott of the company. It is asking individuals as well as organizations and unions to stop patronizing the coffee giant.

Today was awesome, I set a reasonable goal, crushed it, and kept going.

Then I rewarded myself with Ghibli's Castle in the Sky for the first time at the theater. Adorable.

Then I confess fangirling over Cory Doctorow reposting my "elbows bump" 🗽🍁

Then dropped my phone from 2 feet and it cracked 🙄

That's the *best* defense Canada can have - common cause and solidarity with the people of America, who share a common enemy in Trump, the least popular president in history, who is looting billions and letting his cronies destroy Americas' lives.

Today's neuroqueer nerd mission: setting up Syncthing to connect linux laptop, graphene phone, android tablet, and semi-retired iPhone. Some folders will sync, others push, mapped out the plan, here we go!

Background music only, no visual distractions.

Reward: Ghibli on the big screen tonight 😁

We're being told that if we sacrifice the rights of some people, then the rest of us get to keep our rights.

We all know that's some BS.

Speaking of healthcare being utterly broken, Lindsay Clancy was given NINE different meds including Ambien?! Kept saying things were getting worse, even admitting herself to a psych ward and being discharged?

Sounds to me like psychiatric malpractice and the kids were collateral damage. 1/3

Major blowup when I tried asking dude (again) to not park with his music so loud right outside my window. My favorite part was his argument "I bought it so I can do what I want"

"You don't buy decibels."

"Ordinance hours"

"My home"

"Then why didn't anyone else complain?"
