Separating the measles, mumps and rubella vaccine could decrease access for Colorado parents
Parents concerned about vaccine overload may not get the outcome they expect from Trump’s recent vaccine executive order.

The whole country is suffering in #heat. And I am thinking our national strategy to pay foreign countries not to develop sustainable energy might not be working out.

I am sad for the young people who won’t have opportunity to develop the many skills #sociology offers. I am also fascinated by the belief that reading or hearing about inequality in a couple class mtgs is so powerful and persuasive that it must be universally banned.

I have been thinking a lot about President Reagan’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis and the many ways the signs were present when he was in office. And how the country thought we had learned something to protect the country in the future.

I think substack has contributed to ruining journalism, with a direct-to-reader model that displaces all the workers in journalism who aren't writers. One direct effect is -- no editors to improve the writing and reject the bad pieces. I have yet to subscribe to a paid blog on that platform.

Please do not let all the focus on the funding environment in academia distract us from the real victims of these crimes and their enablers. Please do not look away from the misogyny. Please notice the gender differential. Please pay attention to how women are talked about in these emails.
While it may explain some of the context, this framing also hides that women scientists didn't cozy up to epstein the way men did. They also need funding, no? This is also about being part of a powerful boys club where one can act in despicable ways with impunity. Misogyny is a huge driving factor.
