Sounds perfectly reasonable to me, let's all just let the matter drop, I'm sure there's no bizarre-ass reason for this rule change related to anyone the director personally knows.

It's kind of funny to see somebody who's re-watching one of the Star Wars trilogies and posting about a plot hole they've noticed, because I'm sure for any plot hole anyone can ever find at this point there must be multiple threads on Reddit where fans have hashed out how it might make sense.
