Jared Kushner is not "on the other side of the aisle."

He's not an elected official. He's not an administration official. He's the president's son-in-law and a private citizen.

You do not, in fact, have to take meetings with relatives of the president. Some might even say you should *not* do that
Jeffries defends his meeting with Kushner: "I'm of the view that if we're going to be committed to actually solving problems on behalf of the American people ... they're are gonna be times that you have to speak with people on the other side of the aisle. Even people you strongly disagree with."

Maybe I am late... but Ted Lieu was happy that Hilton beat Steyer in CA. I've been holding my nose while voting for some of my local Dems (MD)... fuck all the way off is this is the party line

Prosecuting and purging the Republican Party was Biden’s one job. When he failed to do his duty it was just a waiting game to this moment.

It’s cool that Chuck Schumer, Kiersten Gillibrand, and Hakeem Jeffries just proved to every future dem that establishment approval is irrelevant tbh
Q: It's election day in NYC. Did you vote for Mamdani or Cuomo?

Schumer: "Look, I voted, and I look forward to working with the next mayor to help NYC."

The history teacher is going to be stuck on “why didn’t the Biden admin punish sedition and why was a seditionist even allowed to run for president again” for a long, long time…Americans stopped believing they had a functional government long before they started believing they had a fascist one

Lenin Riefenstahl had a scheduled visit to Hollywood, but the Nazis did Kristallnacht the week befofe her trip, so everyone boycotted her EXCEPT WALT, who gave her a whole day long tour of his studio (although he wouldn't show her new work because the projectionists might realize what was happening)
People acting like Disney being fascist is new should go back and read the company’s history. Disney himself was a Nazi-sympathizer and only got into the US propaganda film game because he was also a staunch Nationalist. Before that he literally hosted dinner parties for Nazis.

If we survive this, there is going to be a real push from liberals for the next Democrat in the Oval to go scorched earth and simply nominate the most ardently ideological, brazenly partisan judges.

Not even offer up a fig leaf of bipartisanship. Just ram through whoever you want, at any cost.
