hi BlueSky!
I make podcasts that adapt + excavate the films of Karyn Kusama:

"An Invitation to THE INVITATION" podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/a...

"An Invitation to DESTROYER" podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/a...

Writer of both films, Phil Hay, graciously called the former a "beautiful work of art"
This is the most fun I've had acting in years. Please enjoy.

Watching MASTER & COMMANDER for the 1st time without subtitles is like watching it for the 1st time on mute. Which is actually pretty cool.

I think between this and Scorsese, this is particularly insulting to the contribution of storyboard artists, whose work is often critical in helping to visualise and blueprint the eventual cinematography of the production. You can see this in numerous storyboard-to-film comparisons. It is a skill.

Storyboard artists, often closest and most integral to realizing a director's vision, are a relatively cheap part of the process. Often their role is disparaged, or not even understood. And yet one of the main goals of AI in film production seems to be to replicate what they do.

"How can that be profitable for Frito-Lay?"
They were selling a 4 bag assortment of weird global flavors for the World Cup at Costco in a fancy box. One is standard Lay’s, and the other three are: Argentinian-style Steak with chimichurri; Brazilian-style garlic sauce; and wavy French Onion soup.
