the bare minimum to create a really good band is two people who think they're in a rock (or metal or hardcore) band and two people who think they're in a pop band. the beatles may have been the first band to do this which is why we can't fucking get rid of them

maybe I'm just very sensitive to these things but I will say being adjusted to foot's startup time (even without the cool client-server thing) makes ghostty feel absolutely uselessly sluggish. I think firefox might actually start faster on my machine
