Persians are the quintessential dessert in Thunder Bay (similar to a donut). One year two students in my elder law class created a podcast for an assignment and I was amused to discover they included an "mock advertisement" for Persian Man.
Workers in Thunder Bay built Hawker Hurricanes. Now, they're building the next generation of VIA Rail cars.

I went for a walk yesterday and noticed this cat. He wasn't on a leash and was sitting there (wearing his hat) watching people at the beach. He also was being photographed by everyone walking by!

In two days I am headed back to Northern Ontario (Thunder Bay) for the fall semester of teaching at Bora Laskin Faculty of Law. This article does a very good job of explaining the natural beauty of the region. The fall lingers until November, so there is still plenty of time to enjoy the outdoors.
It is always interesting to try to explain to friends who have just moved to Canada what is measured in metric and what is measured in imperial.

On Wednesday I went on a sunset cruise with friends. Not only was the two hour cruise fun, but as we sailed back into the Vancouver harbour there was a spectacular view of a full moon above the downtown.

Although Carney hasnt provided details about the conditions proposed by the US (at least not that I've read) the premiers quoted in this article are saying more. Apparently conditions included Canada reducing trade agreements with other countries and possibly imposing tariffs on other countries.

I have participated in this league many times over the years. This programs has played a very important role in the development and growth of women's ice hockey in Vancouver. I believe it is essential to maintain this resource. This article explains why.
