Retain Joe Burns as Skagit County Commissioner, District 3
Dolly Parton lived her values on an epic scale. She brought literature to millions of children, helped families rebuild after disasters, and gave us 60 years of music. One in seven kids receives a book from Imagination Library, and tonight I’m reading my boys Coat of Many Colors in her honor.

What a great day at Berry Dairy Days! Thank you to everyone who walked with us and to all the people along the parade route for the warm reception, waves, and conversations. We had a fantastic time and look forward to seeing you at the Sedro-Woolley 4th of July Parade! #SkagitCounty

Flood protection and salmon recovery both moved forward last week.
My fellow commissioners and I signed the dam licensing agreement with Seattle City Light—securing earlier flood storage and fish passage.
Now it’s about follow-through

Our 2026 campaign is live.
I was appointed as Skagit County Commissioner just over a month ago, and now I’m working to keep this seat.
We’re starting to fundraise to run a strong campaign.

Vote YES for schools.
Support students, educators, and our communities.
School levies fund safe buildings, CTE, arts, and athletics. Without them, critical programs and staff will be cut.
Former auto shop teacher here—this matters.
🗳️ Ballots due Tue, Feb 10 by 8 PM.
Vote YES.

Pope Francis truly lived the Christian values he taught. The world was a better place with him in it. My heart goes out to all those mourning his passing.

⚠️ SCAM ALERT ⚠️
I've gotten a few of these text messages in the last month and thought I should share. In case you can't tell from the emojis, this is definitely not from a government entity trying to collect a real toll. Those will come in the mail from my experience.

The Olmsted Park project will finally be moving forward. The Council awarded contracts for the first 3 phases and all that is left after that is the play area that the City of Sedro-Woolley, Washington is working on plans for now.

Last week, I joined Mayor Johnson in Olympia to advocate for Sedro-Woolley. We’re seeking funding for a public safety building property, opposing harmful parking restrictions, and pushing for more homeownership opportunities. I also attended AWC’s City Action Days to collaborate with leaders.
