Tangent to the quoted thread, but this post makes me curious if autistic people are less prone to thinking AI is alive? Because they don't model other minds as much as NT people do.
We also are pretty good at modeling other humans in our own minds, the chatbot trips that same circuitry. To the extent that "AI" has "consciousness", that consciousness is located entirely within the mind of the user.

Total tangent, but this thread is the third time today where I've noticed a little 1/2 in the corner to indicate a thread of multiple messages. Is that a new feature? How do you do that?
Especially looking for folks who are down to try anything (visual novels, indies, etc.), not just Nintendo or Konami's latest thing.

huh, I just got a new credit card and the design is... weird. Like, I guess there's nothing specifically wrong with it having the number on the back and the front is mostly blank, but it looks so odd.

I probably lean more anti ai than pro, but I am aware the technology has use cases. Machine learning functions are good! Generative AI regarding photos/video is generationally dangerous.
