at the Women of SNL panel I attended last Sun, 80s cast member Robin Duke spoke highly of her lifelong friend & SCTV co-star Catherine O'Hara.
Catherine was cast on SNL in the 80s, but realized it wasn't for her and left before appearing on the show, and she helped Robin get on without an audition.
