If the UAE choose NOT to accept the punishment visited on them by the EPL - instead using it's huge wealth, proxies, courts & 'Manc mates in Government' (you know who I mean) to drag this out forever - I fear for the English game

Teams might have to refuse to play Manchester City if that happens

So Man City's appeal is utter bullshit

Wow

Who would've guessed?

Can we just boot these cheats out?

Be nice

Reduced to 6 on appeal.Given Everton cooperated in the investigation and admitted the financial irregularities City’s punishment needs to reflect their lack of acceptance of the investigations findings and the fact they frustrated it at every opportunity

Blackburn bought the 1 EPL title
Chelsea bought 5
Man City bought 8

Through hugely wealthy owners & poor regulation

I don't like Arsenal or Man United, but they are enormous clubs with huge fan bases

They won more

Mason's glee is a tad distasteful, but he's not wrong. Burnham's comments were dozy & revealed that - when caught off guard - he's nor the great 'communicator' his fans claim

Football is being ripped apart & his 'but the City owners are great!' & 'whatabout Everton?' was plain moronic
Chris Mason: Why Andy Burnham's about-turn on Manchester City matters
The prime minister's comments on Man City were revealing on several levels - and leapt on by many in football, the BBC's political editor writes.

Burnham was really bloody stupid there. First big gaffe of his Premiership

Sent utterly wrong message & naffed off every non-City fan - which is the majority of us
Man City not 'above the rules', says No 10 after backlash to Burnham remarks
The prime minister said he would be "really concerned" if the club's owners sell up after Premier League rule breaches.

The UK returning to the EU is likely to be driven by defence more than anything else

No US means the 250 uk nuclear warheads matter. Reform is in the toilet; all good !

I hope this works as Brexit was a Putin masterstroke facilitated by traitors

Just read Tennessee may continue to seek the death penalty against Christa Pike despite the fact that she survived TWO 'lethal' injections

GOD IS TRYING TO TELL YOU SOMETHING !!!

Astonishing

No idea how deep this actually goes - how compelling is the EPL's evidence? If City push back too hard might they find themselves facing the Crown on behalf of Companies House instead? I'm pretty sure the UK has laws about shadow bookkeeping at this level of turnover.
It seems clear that Manchester City's owners are NOT going to accept any punishment for their cheating & are using proxies - Etihad Airlines - to further put pressure on the EPL

I think an immediate & full suspension of the club is appropriate or I fear the EPL becomes untenable in current form

I don't agree with the death penalty - if you get it wrong, you can't dig them up and 'say sorry' (ask Timothy Evans - oh, you can't)

And the fiasco in Tennessee remakes the point. If you're GOING to execute someone, execute them

Unbelievable

Dozy stuff from our new PM

This is like saying the kidnapping of John Paul Getty III in the 70s wasn't all bad as some of the ransom paid led to regeneration projects in southern Italy

Quite amazed he's being that supine
Andy Burnham 'really concerned' if Man City owners sell up after rule breaches
