Just a week until Before the Vote is available. It's heartening to be hearing positive feedback already from the advance copies. Looking forward to discussing the research further with people at the launches in Dublin on Sep 30th, Belfast Oct 1st, Derry and Cork later that month.

Surely Sheeran cannot proceed with this tour. Hard to see him fill a stadium ever again Ireland if he does.
All of Ed Sheeran's supporting acts, including two Irish groups, have pulled out of the singer-songwriter's US tour following the departure of rapper Macklemore.

Macklemore said on Monday he was forced out for advocating for Palestinians.

Unlike Macklemore, these support acts don’t have big followings and they are giving up their chance to perform to stadiums to push back against censorship, not of themselves but of a fellow artist. Respect.
The Irish musicians, Beoga, who play alongside Ed Sheeran, have withdrawn from Sheeran’s tour.

It is unreasonable to expect the middle ground to decide how they will vote until a united Ireland is described in detail - in a way Brexit was not! The Irish Govt needs to start the process of producing such a plan.

This poll seems to be a statistical outlier - its results are quite different to others even with the very wide variations in polls. What is clear is that somewhere between 27% and 10% of people in Northern Ireland respond that they are uncertain how they will vote.
All Ireland poll shows cross-border support for Irish unity and EU membership

An EU sentiment poll also indicates that 73% in Northern Ireland would vote for the UK to rejoin the EU

Yes, This is the most explicit endorsement of Irish unity in terms of it being an immediate political project. Trump's motivations are irrelevant - it both reflects a live debate and bring it to a global audience. And nicely timed with my book coming out next week!
