Andy Burnham finally telling it how it is on Brexit is a welcome dose of truth. Admitting leaving the EU ruined our global standing, wrecked the economy, and left us with zero control is long overdue. Why did it take political leaders ten years to state the obvious? (1/2) 🤔 #FBPE

No Scrubs? Don’t be silly!
I’ve seen 64 of the NYT’s best 100 TV shows of the 21st century.
And don’t really disagree with the inclusion of any of those. That’s a good hit rate.

This is nothing new. It's what helped to bring about Brexit. So surely Burnham's remarks about online Russian disinformation now should cast such a shadow over Brexit that we rejoin at least the Single Market before the next election!

And of course this iconic vox pop
In May 2019, a reporter from the far-right Canadian sewer Rebel News / The Rebel tried to interview people on the streets of Manchester about Stephen Yaxley-Lennon / Tommy Robinson who was standing as an MEP, and encountered the (NSFW but very honest) Queen of the North.

Farage is now as unpopular as Starmer was before he resigned, and Reform has a £72m problem
There’s a 52-point gap between Burnham and Farage.

The only 4 constituencies where rejoining the EU wasn’t the preferred option were those of Lee Anderson, Farage, Tice and Lowe. In those 4, the top answer was ‘don’t know’.
Confirming that Brexit has no real support at all. Not surprising for a total shitshow. And makes red lines seem very silly.

A reminder, the UK consultation on fireworks closes on 7th October, so I would urge everyone to make their feelings known! There are various ways to do this, but here is gov webpage.

The RNLI rescued Luftwaffe pilots in WW2 because the organisation is there to 'save life at sea' - it's something to be immensely proud of.

But as I've said many times before Farage and Co don't seem to have pride in Britain and its institutions beyond flags and crap Enoch Powell said 60 years ago.
This should be the moment people finally realise that Farage has turned them into fascists.
If you’re choosing this dangerous inhumanity over the rescue work of the RNLI, you’ve lost your minds to racism and hatred.

Piddington's independence ref is being presented as a quaint 'crumpets and muffins' comedy of plucky country folk.

It's much darker and nastier than that and shows how deeply entrenched the bigoted 'fighting aged men on boats' narrative runs. Me for @noosphere.app

Last week an Oxfordshire village declared independence from the United Kingdom - ostensibly in protest at a local refugee centre. But is something darker going on?

While rightwing media nods approvingly at the prejudiced outcry in Piddington, a RNLI station has to close because of white British thuggery and threats. This is where the constantly toxic obsession with immigration leads. To racist, flag-wielding vigilantism that ruins this country for everyone.

Maybe if Farage and Tice et all actually attended HofC and paid attention to proceeding ( ⭐️ 25th March 2026 ⭐️) they would know for sure that the new provisions about donations to political parties would apply from THAT DAY ⭐️.

Capping it at £100,000
