Had a pumpkin patch last year, I missed the opportunity to plant this year, well I thought I had, until I found this little guy struggling in a hidden area of my garden. Can't believe it's survived in this heat without attention.. It doesn't look in the best shape, but it's getting a good home. 🌱

Just spent a week in Wales, climbing Snowdon, looking at the temperate rainforests... listening to the birds and admiring the lichens and moss
It's nice to detach, but when I say detach.. I mean CONNECT.. connect with GOOD PEOPLE and our place in the world, Our biome, environment, habitat.. home. 🌱

I absolutely love taking volunteers out on conservation work, they inspire me so much, such a good group, we're all different, we all have different political views, different generations, but we all love nature. Gives me hope. Some of these people are in their late 80s, absolute warriors. 🌱

It's the last day of the year when you can do ditch work on wetlands, water voles start listening to Barry White and getting it on in March, apparently.. People actually volunteer their time to do this work, and I can assure you, it's knackering. Thankyou to all volunteers. #🌱

I'm lucky enough to have access to a beaver sanctuary, good news that these little eco warriors are being let loose around the country. Not many times in life has my jaw dropped, but my jaw well and truly dropped seeing what these miraculous creatures can do. 🌱

I was surveying an ancient woodland. It was very cold and I was waiting for a colleague before I entered the woods. A wonderful old man came out of his house with a cup of tea.. "Are you the custodian of my wood? If you're lucky you might see the fairies"

Have to say, I'm hesitant about banning things, I really am. But I have no issue with X being banned, it is an absolute cesspool of hate, can't even begin to imagine the damage it's doing to our youth. Get outside kids, meet people, go take your dog for a walk in the countryside. 🌱

I have a little 2km country walk that I do most mornings and I thought I'd set a challenge and try and record and identify all the plants I see... It's more difficult than I expected. 🙄😭
