For the past several years now, I've often referred to my gardening as "Grief Gardening." It started during the pandemic and increased after the loss of both my in-laws, then my father. My husband and I can't control much, but creating life for other living things feels nurturing and nourishing.
Gardening. I'm serious. Nothing helps you process life cycles, seasonal cycles, life choices like gardening for more than a few years.
What are you doing with your midlife existential crisis? No wrong answers. Just trying to see something, as the kids say.

There are many things we "can't" talk about re publishing. My entire career I've followed these rules, even though I don't know who made them or how they benefit me. This biz can be quite horrible, tbh. But I'll always be grateful for what can't be taken from me: the connections I made w/ readers.
