One thing I’m particularly excited for about Gerwig’s Narnia movie is how much her Unitarian Universalist upbringing will be discussed in relation to it.

Is there any tech company that started with a gimmick that did not eventually give up on it so it could homogenize itself with the rest of the field?

My at-the-outset take on this is that it looks and sounds genuinely audacious in a way that I thought adaptations of big "IP" were no longer allowed to be, which is only making me more excited.
EXCLUSIVE 🪩

Greta Gerwig’s Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew is a rock inspired fantasy nodding to David Bowie and The Who.

“Narnia is literally a world made out of music,” she tells Empire. “And rock ’n’ roll to me felt like a world made out of music.”

Kinda cool of Elijah Wood that after being top-billed in three of the biggest movies of the young century, he chose his first big follow-up role after those movies to be the 6th-billed massive stalker creep in a post-modern RomCom.

Kinda funny how much of the political establishment has a “stupid sexy Flanders” relationship to a random streamer most Americans don’t even know exists.
They broadcasted his meat pic in the arena.

Kinda surprising it took Disney this long to do an anniversary re-release of Pixar's golden age. I wonder if we can get a Ratatouille and/or WALL-E anniversary re-releases as well.
The 20th Anniversary re-issue of Disney / Pixar's Cars grossed an estimated $6.10M domestically over the 3-day weekend (from 2,900 locations). Estimated 4-day weekend gross is $7.60M.

The Odyssey has now made 4.73x its opening weekend domestically, pushing it past Inception's multiplier (4.68) to become Nolan's leggiest wide release ever. It also stands as the third leggiest $80M+ opener ever, behind only Top Gun: Maverick and Avatar: The Way of Water.
Universal's The Odyssey grossed an estimated $13.0M over the 3-day weekend (from 2,312 locations), which was a 9% decrease from last weekend. Estimated 4-day weekend gross is $17.2M.

Estimated total domestic gross through Monday stands at $588.98M.

The success of Weapons indicates that Cregger has the potential to be another Nolan/Peele-caliber director that can bring out audiences for anything he makes, so I'm honestly relieved that he won't be wasting that potential in Franchise Land after this.
Again, RE fans deserve NOTHING

You know Nolan has an ironclad grip on the social media output for The Odyssey because Universal still hasn’t released an HD clip of Pattinson’s “beggars” moment.
