My precious friend passed away suddenly last night. She was part dragon, stubborn ox, mountain goat, and most importantly, Maltese. Artemisia, you touched not only the hearts of Brittany and I, but made the world better for so many people.

Tim Snyder: The term that I came up with… is superpower suicide. I just can’t see an example of a major country losing so much power so quickly as the United States under Trump.

We’ve encouraged our enemies and we’ve made our allies not trust us.

AND... If Alito retires, that's the END of any & all Dem restence to MAJOR court reform.
13-seat court expansion is the MINIMUM.
Stripping SCOTUS of appellate jurisdiction & giving it to a new court selected by lot from the federal judiciary is FAR better & should be the goal.
This is Justice Alito's way of letting Republicans know that he's certain they are going to get a shellacking in the midterms.

YES!

HPV vaccine protects against cervical, vaginal, anal, penile, vulvar, & head/neck cancers

I recently chatted with a mom who told me she wasn't planning to give the vaccine to her young teen son; she thought, wrongly, it was "only to prevent cervical cancer"

We chatted and.....
anyway I don't have to explain how batshit crazy RFK Jr is but I have Gardasil 9 antibodies in me and I really *really* enjoy being 99.9% immune to anal cancer!

This is awful. More outlets are doing things like this—not limiting reporters’ recordings to their intended purpose. I was contacted by one publication, years after an interview, telling me—not asking—that that recording was going to be used in a new, unrelated podcast the publication was doing.
Earlier this week, I agreed to interviews with two USA Today journalists. They wrote fantastic articles about the Cornell case that I'm proud to have been a part of.

What I did not know is that their employer considers interviews to proprietary and opens up recordings to be used by any journalist.
