Progressives,

*just* attacking Labour isn’t as useful as creating leverage over them and using that to push them forward.

If we only attack, we help the people that are *much* worse.

That’s not a lesser-of-two-evils argument, it’s our broken system, that we can use our leverage to get them to fix

🚨 Can we all agree to totally ignore and destroy the “PolitlcsUK”* account everyone gets their news from now?

It’s run by a REFORM COUNCILLOR, and trickles bias and fabricated nonsense in under a neutral guise.

Days apart.

-Burnham doesn’t cap donations.
-Reform get record donations.

In addition:

- Voter ID will remain (needlessly), it’s estimated that 400k were denied a vote in 2024 as a result

- Proportional Representation not part of the “Representation of the People” bill making it an oxymoron

I wonder what policies attendees at Reform’s conference are voting on?

Those of us paying attention know to call these people terrorists now.

No?

Oh.

THIS is everything that we hate about politics.

Our futures is literally reality TV to them.

Britain is on the brink of a nuclear conflict with Russia. Enter the big guns — Michael Gove, Harriet Harman and Nicola Sturgeon — to solve the crisis. That’s the idea in a new reality TV show. So is ...

Andy Burnham’s first 100 days is Wednesday, 28 October 2026.

What will you judge him on at that point?
August 27, 2026 at 9:34 AM
Oooh a severe alert about wildfires from the government.

Thing is, we’ve been issuing global alerts for decades that things like this would happen because of climate change.

They’ve done basically nothing, and now have the gall to be this patronising.

Infuriating.

If Andy Burnham is going to essentially cite mandate when not doing things or even having opinions, he should really cite the mandate he has for the thungs he IS doing.

Consistency is important, otherwise it’s just doing whatever you want without any explanations at all.
August 14, 2026 at 2:41 PM
we can't kick the problem of climate change down the road another 3 years while our new prime minister finds his mandate.

if there's no mandate right now, what's the point of even being prime minister?

DO SOMETHING.

screw what the oligarch owned media says about it.

The best time to have done something about climate change was when we first knew about it, decades ago.

The second best time is NOW.

Chances of coming up with any substantial long term plans that risk the corporate status quo or “spook the bond markets”?

ZERO chance. Were fucked.

Any update on any of this or the bigger list @andyburnham.bsky.social?
Some easier things Burnham can do

-Change BBC leadership
-Restore water/media/election regulators power
-Undo Voter ID
-Fix PIP
-Reinstate proper asylum processes
-Lower train prices
-Subsidise insulation
-Restore protest rights
-Cancel Palantir contracts
-Fine the water companies into oblivion
What we now need progress on from Burnham in next 100 days:

-Proportional Representation
-Rejoin the EU
-Fossil fuel divestment
-A real Green Industrial Revolution
-Tax/Media/Tech reform
-Mass nationalisation
-Remove Israel support
-Community owned housing projects
-All Human Rights restored

Yes?

Ask your damn AI what this all means and what to do about it FFS.

Expect a LOT more news like this, with very few fingers being pointed at who’s been responsible for decades.

Nobody can pretend they weren’t warned.

But lets do more North Sea gas yeah? FFS.

So l just looked at their website statement ‘ In the interests of transparency, Bailey was elected as a Reform councillor May 2026. He also works for Andrew Rosindell, Reform MP for Romford. He has no influence on Politics UK’s coverage.’ 😤 I followed them and shared their posts I’m a twit 😤

Just FYI, PoliticsUK is a right wing front.

Their owner Bailey prominent in Reform UK.

Step 1. grow follows by posting news

Step 2. viral via sharing

Step 3. inject propaganda to that audience

Step 4. shape British narrative

Post this under all their posts, and anyone you see sharing them.

How do we pay for UBI?

… when corporations have replaced all our jobs, avoid taxes, and have all the money and assets?

Uh, I dunno, but there’s something in that i cant quite put my finger on 🥴

There is another, more human-focused way. It’s literally why societies exist too.

Anyone?

Closing Jodrell Bank is one of those indicators we should be watching out for.

It shows changing priorities.

Anti-intellectualism.

Pullback from global communities.

Curiosity and advancement unimportant.

To save £2.8m??

We used to ask

“at which tree do we stop?”

We know the answer now.

We’ll only stop when the last tree is gone.

And probably not even then, as we suffocate and starve.

Wouldn’t it be brilliant if we stopped burning the planet.
