Today is the birthday of Harvey Kurtzman (Oct. 3, 1924-Feb. 21, 1993). He wrote, edited, & drew stories for Two-Fisted Tales & Frontline Combat for EC. The creator of the comic that became Mad magazine, he was editor from 1952-1956, & wrote Little Annie Fanny for Playboy from 1962-1988.

Anyone else watch the Secret Saturdays when you were kids? Where Lies the Engulfer is an all-time favorite episode of any tv series for me
I loved its show-don't-tell buildup to the reveal of the "cursed" lake, it's one of the reasons I like analyzing things in media so closely
