Haven't posted in a while. It's been a busy summer. I spent last weekish in Charleston sweating profusely and seeing some great nature sites. I will share a few of my fave photos. Getting ready to start work in about 10 days. Making sure I have comfortable clothes and shoes. Been reading...a lot!!

Since I had the Britbox sub for the Other Bennet Sister, I finished watching Shetland up to the end of Season 7. Had to finish the Jimmy Perez era. Not sure I agreed with how they had him go out but at least they didn’t kill him off.
The scene where his team says goodbye got to me though.

1. The Mom seemed more mean than I think she should have been. She’s a flighty, vapid woman but her meanness was overdone.

The long grueling task of looking for a job is over!
I accepted a 4k aide position today. Salary is crap but I knew that going in. Thankfully I have a retirement pension as well so combined it's definitely livable. My schedule each day is 7:15-2:45 and I get about 15 weeks off a year. State

I finished both Shield of Sparrows and Rites of the Starling in about 2 weeks with another book in between. Whew. Both were excellent but now the wait until March is long for the third book.

Just got notification that I my application was not selected for my dream job. This one popped up last week and I was like this is why I left my last job to do this type work.
I’m sad but I will move on and keep looking.
Definitely in the cycle of rejections in the job hunt process right now.

I have a job interview Friday at 9:00. I have to do a presentation. I get why due to the job itself as it's a training role but do I want to throw up? Yes. Yes I do.

Finished #PerfectCrown. It was not the big rush drama for me like it was so many. I liked it when I watched it but it wasn't appointment TV for me. I will say #ByeonWooSeok and #IU both have amazing abilities to pick *the* dramas that are going to get people watching.

Well I withdrew from my job interview I had next week. Deep research revealed no health insurance, high staff turnover and terrible management that goes back years. Wasn't going to go into that kind of environment again, when it took me so long to get out of it at my last job.
Sigh.

Job update. Didn't get the remote job. They finally emailed me and told me three weeks after the 1st round was supposed to start. Over 600 applicants! Honestly I'm surprised I made it to the phone screen.
4 school jobs I applied for sent rejection letters today. Fun times. End of year housekeeping.

Just finished #TheGodoftheWoods and I'm not sure how I felt about the ending. Overall, I enjoyed the book but the ending is definitely something book club is gonna talk about Tuesday. #booksky

Applying for Jobs is truly exhausting. Never got called back for Round 1 interviews for the job I thought I was most qualified for. Had a job interview today for a Guidance Dept Clerk at a large high school, but I think based on the scenarios they were giving me that this is a high stress job
