There is a player on the LA Queens, Brittany Apgar, who has a limb difference and traveled back to Illinois from receiving her first ever batting prosthetic *today* and is 3-for-3 in her first game playing with one. Incredibly cool.

There’s so many things coming together to enshittify the PlayStation brand all at once. No discs? Mass layoffs? Weak game output? Sky high prices? Every other month it’s like we get another crappy headline.
This took me several weeks to make because I went through several years worth of corporate/investor/earnings reports but... here it is! The actual, long-term reason Sony killed physical discs, and why they can't go back.

There’s so many things coming together to enshittify the PlayStation brand all at once. No discs? Mass layoffs? Weak game output? Sky high prices? Every other month it’s like we get another crappy headline.
We cannot with one breath express disgust at bloat that leads to obnoxious budgets and layoffs and with another say all games must be created 100% from scratch.

Crazy how most of Nintendo’s “Not E3” highlights came from third parties. So many great games coming day and date to Switch 2, often highlighted at shows that weren’t the Direct. I can’t remember the last time that happened!

DLSS 5 clearly overwrites game characters with AI beauty standards, but Nvidia says devs have 'artistic control'
The first demo for Nvidia's new AI rendering technique doesn't do much to combat the perception that generative AI homogenizes artwork.
