Brighter palette today :]

#sonadow #sonadowtober
Sonic and Shadow for Sonadowtober day 8: Friction. They are rail grinding somewhere above a city scape in the bright daylight. Despite facing opposite ways, they meet each other's gaze.

I had grand ideas for this piece but they got absorbed into the black hole.
I'm trying not to spend too long on any of these so I don't burn myself out as quickly
#sonadow #sonadowtober
Sonic and Shadow for Sonadowtober day 7: Event Horizon. The background features a black hole in space, with colourful light wrapping around it. Shadow seems trapped within the black hole while Sonic, in his super form, is attempting to save him. Their hands are outstretched to each other, almost touching on the event horizon boundary.

I didn't really know what to do for this prompt so tbh this is just some random nonsense

#sonadow #sonadowtober
Sonic and Shadow for Sonadowtober day 6: Cyberspace. They are in a strange void space with floating pieces resembling roads, grass, and buildings. Sonic stands on a distant block of grass, waving to Shadow. Shadow appears stern as he looks back at Sonic.

I was excited for this one

#sonadow #sonadowtober
Sonic and Shadow for sonadowtober day 5: billboard. There is a city scape in the background, featuring a large billboard of Sonic in his super form, with text on it reading "Be a hero". He appears to be looking at Shadow, who is in silhouette and walking along the bottom of the billboard.

Actually I wanted to draw something else for this (them fighting) but that's hard so here's sonic pissing shadow off

#sonadow #sonadowtober
Sonic and Shadow for sonadowtober day 4: opposition. Sonic is making a teasing face at Shadow, Shadow is grabbing his wrist and gesturing as if to say, "would you take this seriously for once?". They are in front of a vague industrial landscape

Drawing these gems drives me crazy

#sonadow #sonadowtober
Sonic and Shadow for day 3 of Sonadowtober: Glow. They stand together on the moon, brandishing the Chaos Emeralds. Sonic has the red, yellow, and white emeralds, while Shadow has the pink, cyan, green, and blue emeralds (I chose this so they would be holding each other's colours).

Backgrounds are my enemy

#sonadow #sonadowtober
Sonic and Shadow for day two of Sonadowtober, "Holographic". Shadow is facing away from the viewer, looking at a hologram of Sonic. Sonic is grinning while rubbing his nose.

I'm late but anyway here's hoping I can actually do most of these

#sonadow #sonadowtober
Sonic and Shadow for the first prompt of Sonadowtober, "Aurora". They are running past each other, with the glowing speed trails they leave behind crossing over and becoming part of the aurora in the sky.

Warmup sketches I did a while ago but coloured some yesterday

#sonicthehedgehog
Sketches of Sonic in various poses, with 3 coloured ones. Left to right, top to bottom: 1. crouching on the ground with one leg extended. 2. Sitting facing the camera with his legs splayed and gesturing with his hand. 3. Something that looks either like a dodge or sonic skidding to a halt, while he peers over his shoulder with a grin. 4. (Coloured) Sonic crouching and curled up in a ball. I wanted to emphasise his hedgehog-ness. 5. (Coloured) Sonic pulling a dramatic pose where he is leaning extremely far back and using one hand to support his weight off the ground. 6. Sonic with lighting coming from under him and his hands up, in a typical spooky storytelling gesture. 7. (Coloured) Sonic sliding along the ground, similar to the slide move seen in some 3D sonic games

I'm in a crazy artblock rn
#oc
My original character Touxi. She has pale green hair that's half tied up in a bun. She wears dark grey techwear with green accents. She has 3 pipe-like protrusions coming out of her back, with an ambiguous green light radiating from them. She is part of a dystopian sci-fi story I call "Syvathus Days".

Idk what happened to the colours I went a little crazy

#sonadow
Sonic and Shadow sitting in a vague location. Sonic says, "You're such a secretive guy, I figured it'd be something crazy like opening up, heh..." Shadow says, "Something like that..." he hesitates for a moment before hugging sonic. They both find it a bit awkward. This is supposed to be a scene from a longer piece but idk if I will finish it. Drawing them hugging is hard.

I liked this one so I coloured it
#sonadow
Sonic and Shadow sitting on the grass, looking at the stars. Sonic is whistling and laid back, while Shadow has his knees to his chest and a ponderous expression.

Sketching these buffoons when I'm bored
#sonadow
Loose sketches of sonic and shadow, playing with perspective and some emotion in body language Slightly tidier sketches mostly in 2D space, playing with more emotion in expression and hand gesture Neater sketches featuring sonic stretching and eating. Shadow asks, "What are you doing?", Sonic replies, "Stretching? Gotta keep limber" I like the idea that sonic is constantly stretching and eating and doing otherwise human esque things meanwhile shadow never needs to since he is an artificial creation Sonic challenging shadow to a race fairly, and unfairly. Shadow asks, "do you enjoy pissing people off?", Sonic replies, "Yeah, kinda!". The two of them sitting on the grass looking up at the stars, sonic is whistling.

The shadow the hedgehog fandub has taken over my regular vocabulary

#sonicthehedgehog #shadowthehedgehog #snapcube
Various sketches of Sonic and Shadow based on quotes from Snapcube's Shadow the Hedgehog fandub. 1 [Sonic: "Shadow, you're an asshole, man" Shadow: "You are what you eat, Sonic"] 2 [Sonic (laughing): You're gonna die"] 3 [Shadow: "Don't you call my highlights gay!" Sonic: "They are pretty gay"] 4 [Sonic: "We're here to help you, man! With what, I don't know, but I value our friendship!"] 5 [Sonic: "Come, play in the light with me" (c'mon) Shadow: "How about you come play in the dark with me? Huh? How about that compromise?"] 6 [Sonic: "Those things look so sick, it makes me want to bark like a dog!"] Interspersed throughout are sketches of Sonic saying "long time no see!"

I realised I never actually posted those OCs before so here
Surely one day I will make a comic for them
My original characters, left to right: Elora [She has curly brown hair that she typically wears in twin buns. She is wearing a pink tube top and white baggy pants] Reyon [He has grey hair that is shaved underneath, which he wears in a bun. He has a blue turtle neck and grey pants, alongside silver armour on his shoulders and arms. He wears metal boots with a blue fabric covering] Kuro [They have dark hair that covers half of their face, a grey face mask, and a grey tattered cloak which obscures most of their body. They also have black leather boots and gloves] Aafje [He has curly brown hair and pointed ears. He wears an open white shirt and a purple sash on top of a knee-length purple skirt]

My little freak

#oc #originalcharacter
My original character, Kuro, standing as a silhouette in front of a field of grasping hands, with abstract eyes floating and staring at them. Kuro also has small red eyes scattered across their body. The text reads "The Mistress of Midnight and Mischief". The piece uses a mostly red-orange colour palette with hints of blue as contrast.

Idea
Shadow hovering in the air whilst bullets fly past him. One bullet strikes his boot, causing the rockets to fail. He attempts to use chaos control to get out of the situation but also loses the emerald to another bullet Shadow falls to the ground, Sonic jumps up to catch him Sonic has Shadow in his arms. He says "you got a serious falling-from-the-sky problem, dude" Sonic lands, letting Shadow stand on the ground, and takes out the remaining enemies

Healthy rivalry
#sonadow
Sonic is smirking, holding up both his hands with two fingers raised on his right hand and one raised on his left. He is saying "I'm still beating you, faker" Shadow has a neutral expression and he is adjusting his inhibitor rings. He is saying "And I'm still going easy on you, faker" They both have a dramatic shadow across half their face.

Sonic and Shadow standing facing each other. Sonic is leaning forward with a teasing expression and holding Shadow's arms, Shadow is reluctant at the contact and has a mild frown on his face.

These guys are silly as hell

#sonadow
Loose sketches of sonic and shadow. The top left is them standing facing each other with their right hands extended towards each other. Top right is them standing side-by-side, shadow has his arms crossed and is frowning, sonic has his hands on his hips with a mischievous look on his face. The bottom right is them hugging, shadow has his arms around sonic's neck while sonic gently holds him to comfort him.
