Super Metroid. That one part at the start where Ridley comes into the screen and there's alarms and stuff blaring all over. It scared the absolute heck out of me. I did eventually play the game and it didn't affect me as much, but still, it was one hell of an opener for young me to deal with

You know one thing I really like? When a tiny design choice informs a backstory choice. I'm practicing making animatics and I decided to use Ako for this one. I had to make a modern outfit for it and I gave him Dogtags. So now 'modern' him has some military history and that fills me with more ideas.
