The totally unscientific straw poll from the Memorial Three Brothers Bakery location in Houston have Talarico way way ahead. (Way)

We have reached the point in Houston summer where warm water comes out of the cold faucet.

I’m so proud to be a Texas lawyer today. (This is my lawsuit.)

I just saw a man in a t-shirt that said “MAGA AF” greet a cleaning woman at the gym with a cheery “Buenos Dias!” 🤦‍♀️

I did civil rights cases in the Fifth Circuit for years and every time there was good case law for Plaintiffs I would check and it was a law enforcement officer bringing the claim. Some people just get more justice than others in American law, especially in certain places.
Oh, so the suspect was a white guy then.

The famous Mountains of West Houston, everyone.

Running across a typo in a lawyer’s bio now has the opposite effect than it used to for me. Now I take it as a sign that they probably wrote it themselves, without AI.

Frankly I feel like ActBlue is an illegal criminal enterprise because why am I getting texts from campaigns in Kansas and New Jersey after I donate to a Texas candidate.

I am in Boise for a hearing and maybe just had legitimately the best French fries I’ve ever tasted.

Trafficked. If this is true, she was trafficked.

I saw regular gas in Houston yesterday for $4.69/gal.

Houston.

Now every voting location in Texas’ 8th most populous county is down, apparently due to a system-wide bug. Everyone is voting via provisional ballot now in Fort Bend County: www.click2houston.com/news/local/2...
Fort Bend County voting centers down due to system bug
Voting in Fort Bend County has been paused after a system bug caused all voting centers in the county to go down Tuesday afternoon.

I love an Election Day in Texas, especially when I’m not on the ballot!

For a year, I’ve been looking at buying a house in Houston. This morning I woke up to a power outage in my neighborhood even though it’s a beautiful day. I love this city but the complete lack of infrastructure is making me seriously re-think a longer term investment here.

One of my hobbies is asking people who are politically involved how they decide which candidate to vote for in downballot races in the primaries (judges, county officials, state house reps, etc). Today someone told me she uses Claude. So how do y’all figure out who to vote for?

Yeah they did! 🙌

So proud of the Brazoria County Democratic Party on this one!
Democrats just flipped Pearland, Texas.

Quentin Wiltz has defeated Republican Tony Carbone in the mayoral race — turning a red seat blue.

Does every place in the U.S. just believe they have the worst allergies in the country?

www.reddit.com/r/KerrCounty... We’re now reaching critical mass where horrible folks feel emboldened say anything they want in public with impunity. Here’s a local Houston appellate lawyer telling opposing counsel (representing the families of Camp Mystic flood victims) that he will “burn in hell.”

How did I miss the release of Slay the Spire 2?? (Probably because most of the time I would otherwise spend doomscrolling is spent playing the O.G.)

I just found out there’s a new Yemeni-Mexican fusion bakery in Houston that opened this weekend and it’s going on the list! Yemex BakeHouse in the Energy Corridor. How anyone thinks I can leave Houston is beyond me.

Technically we elected him, then elected someone else, he staged a coup, the coup failed, he faced no consequences, then we elected him again after he vowed revenge on us.

Some disappointing results in our local judicial races in Houston last night where a genuinely horrible former judge won her primary and a genuinely amazing current judge lost his (different races). Most results were as expected though - on to the (much less exciting) runoffs!

How is this not a pro-Crockett ad? I mean, I already like her! You really don’t need to convince me anymore.
