Mediocre skateboarding | Incidental birdwatching.
I was out of it for Tuesday. The weather was nice so I wound up skateboarding in the driveway after work. I only did a bunch of tail and rail slides on the small ledge plus a few flatground tricks. It wasn't much of anything, but at least I was outside. There was a starling in the backyard.

Monday was mild and cloudy. I got in some driveway skateboarding after work. I did some boardslides, noseslides, ride-on grinds, and a 43. I kept it simpler than usual and even then tricks were a chore. There's a song sparrow in the backyard that is stoked on the birdbath.

I skateboarded at the park on Sunday morning. The local gear heads meet on the lake every Sunday to show off their vehicles. A couple wandered over to the park and asked if there were any restrooms. I got to use my favorite line: "They built this place in '04. The bathrooms were gone by '05."

I skateboarded at the park on Saturday morning. I didn't have anything going. I saw some Canadian geese and seagulls. I rolled in the driveway in the late afternoon. There wasn't much improvement. There was a grackle, a white-breasted nuthatch, and a lot of mourning doves in the yard.

I skateboarded at the park on Saturday morning. I didn't have anything going. I saw some Canadian geese and seagulls. I rolled in the driveway in the late afternoon. There wasn't much improvement. There was a grackle, a white-breasted nuthatch, and a lot of mourning doves in the yard.
I skateboarded in the driveway after work on Friday. I took Thursday off. Weather was nice and sunny. I did some boardslides, tailslides, one great noseslide, and ride-on grinds. It was mixed with some tricks clicking & others not. There was a white-breasted nuthatch and a song sparrow in the yard.

Wednesday was sunny, warm, and breezy. I did skateboard in the driveway after work for a while. I landed the same old boardslides, tailslides, noseslides, and ride-on grinds as Tuesday. It was OK, but not great or anything. A flock of eight crows flew by the house.

Monday was cooler and breezy. I skateboarded in the driveway after work. I had no pop on my ollies. I did some noseslides, tailslides, boardslides, ride-on grinds, and a surprisingly decent 43. I should've taken the day off. There's still a grackle hanging around the yard.

For Sunday afternoon, I skateboarded in the driveway. I did some noseslides, tailslides, ride-on grinds, two railslides, and scratched out a couple switch noseslides for variety. I had no pop and it wasn't a great time. There was a white-breasted nuthatch and a chickadee around the yard.

I skateboarded at Jamestown Skateboard Products on Saturday afternoon. There was some ripping going down, none of it by me. I think my knees & ankles are worn out. I cruised around, did some noseslides and ollies. It wasn't much of anything, but it was fun. I saw crows & Canadian geese on the ride.

I skateboarded after work in the driveway on Monday. I couldn't get anything to click after skating decent enough for me the last two days. I get annoyed at myself when that happens. There were 11 mourning doves in the backyard. I heard the screech owl again, too.

On Sunday morning I went to the Seneca Nation's skatepark in Irving to skateboard. The park is small yet fun and I'm getting the feel for it. I did some noseslides, frontside 50-50s, boardslides, fakie ollies, and backside ollies on a bank. I saw some crows, turkey vultures, and geese.
I skateboarded in the driveway on Saturday afternoon. I did some noseslides, tailslides, railslides, 43s, and jump ramp ollies before being rained out. It was nice to have more time in the afternoon without having to rush because of sunset. A flock of 50-60 Canadian geese flew by.

For Friday night, I skateboarded in the driveway after dinner for a little bit. It cooled down and was dark fast. I couldn't get any tricks to really work. I bet Tim Gavin had days like this. There were nine mourning doves in the backyard.

I skateboarded at the park on Thursday night. There's a gap between sunset and when the lights turn on so that was cool. It was also breezy. I guess I put together enough tricks to have it count, but it wasn't a fun time. Some Canadian geese and seagulls flew over.

Skateboarding was rained out for Wednesday. The running joke is that it always rains right when I get out of work and that day was no different. There was a goldfinch and a grackle in the backyard.

Figured I'd have more time to skateboard in the driveway on Tuesday night since dinner finished up earlier. I didn't have the time to go to the park either. It didn't really work out. I got a couple noseslides, tailslides, ride-on grinds, and jump ramp ollies. A lone crow flew over.

I skateboarded in the driveway in the late afternoon on Monday. A neighbor had a big tree removed which means less shade in the driveway so it was toasty in the hot sun. I didn't roll for long and did a minimal amount of tricks. I wasn't feeling it. There were a couple of blue jays in the backyard.

I spent Sunday getting all the housework done. I had a little time after dinner to skateboard in the driveway before it was dark. I was good for a couple jump ramp ollies, tailslides, and ride-on grinds. That's about all I had the energy for. I heard a screech owl at twilight.

On Saturday, I went to Jamestown Skateboard Products. I hadn't been there in a while. I didn't do much in the way of tricks. I had fun cruising around going fast. A couple other guys were skating. It was a mellow good time. I only saw a few crows and starlings on the drive.

I took the week off from skateboarding due to rain and grown-up stuff, like getting a new fridge. The birds have been thinning out as the summer winds down. There's a gang of cardinals that have been in the backyard.

Dinner went late and the sun set early so I didn't have a ton of time for driveway skateboarding on Tuesday evening. I was too tired for the park. I did a couple railslides, tailslides, jump ramp ollies, and a frisbee toss. There were two white-breasted nuthatches in the yard.
