Chat, WDYT? Would it have been easier to lift this @bart.gov escalator out and replace it using a mobile crane before building the canopy? Or, is it better to build the canopy first then close the escalator for a year while building a makeshift crane under the canopy? Not sure. Vote in the comments.

Boomer ignoramus online: the city is getting ripped off, installing all these traffic signals for new apartments!

It's entertaining to watch the Consolidated Villages of Lisjan and the Consolidated Heirs To A Bunch Of Free Land enter into CEQA litigation over the demolition of a parking lot and this wonderful example of 1955 architecture. Truly the best use of our civic attention.

With the old clipper system, you could tap your phone even if your phone was off or even if the phone was dead, it would still work. With the new clipper readers if you do that with a dead phone it says "see agent". Feels like a regression.

I believe this is another misapplication of the almost pointless NAICS 513210.

Imagine all of the consequences there would be if I owed $3,118.76 in BART fares.
This thing has 20 unpaid parking tickets including from today. Their ticket for having non-matching front and rear plates is a real banger. Personally, if I were a quasi-cop in a tricycle interceptor, I would have had this car towed long ago.

People could, and did, make heat-seeking guided anti-aircraft missiles with 1940s technology, in the 1940s. I've always been a little surprised that groups other than nation states do not possess homemade missiles. This has been on my mind since long before Claude.
