Just some guy with 3 kids and not enough hobbies.
Law schools should also do some soul searching for their part in this debacle. It is only recently that law school professors are speaking up about how lawless SCOTUS is. They treated them like brilliant jurists instead of the obvious political hacks that they are.

From the man who brought you extreme gerrymandering in NC that provides such luminaries to the national stage as Virginia Fox and Madison Cawthorne. All of a sudden he has a problem with extremism in politics? Im sure he is really looking for the guy who did this.
Senator Thom Tillis has a new book coming out:

the cornell case has me thinking about christine blasey ford and how she so bravely testified in 2018 about how future supreme court justice brett kavanaugh had sexually assaulted her.

i'm thinking about what i wrote at the time and how nothing has changed:

Trump is trying to steal anything that is not nailed down and strip the buildings for copper wire on the way out.
Stock Trades by Presidents While in Office:

Bill Clinton: ZERO

George W. Bush: ZERO

Barack Obama: ZERO

Donald Trump (first term): 517

Joe Biden: ZERO

Donald Trump (second term): 24,000+, averaging >60 trades per trading day.

This is why the crook in the Oval Office manipulates the markets.

In light of this morning’s annoyance over an article about, uh… something about country music… Suing 700 of your patients and getting 81 of them arrested? As an obstetrician?

“Try that in a small town!”
The crowd erupts in chants of "Shame on you!" as Roger Marshall tries to explain why he sued 700 of his patients, leading to 81 arrests:

Even though it is an AP article, at least one of the local news stations is reporting this correctly. Why can't the NYT or any other legacy media get it right?
Trump, hoping to salvage midterms, makes a dubious pledge to give every US adult $5,000 if GOP wins
President Donald Trump says he plans to give every American adult $5,000 if Republicans retain control of the House and Senate in the midterm elections. This promise, made at the GOP's midterm convent...

He's right, it was a long time ago. I can't remember if I was working on campus here in Princeton signing students into classes or if I was heroically leading the recovery effort at Ground Zero, bravely digging through rubble with my bare hands.

Time, am I right?

I wish Ken Paxton would protect puppies the way he protects pedophiles.
Unearthed documents just revealed Ken Paxton, as Attorney General, protected a research lab that tortured 400 puppies.

Paxton was also one of the only Texas lawmakers to vote against a bill to hold animal abusers accountable.

This is what happens when you have one party rule like we do in North Carolina. Naked corruption without any fear of consequences.

The GOP took >100 days to pass a budget, but 2 days to weaken your voting rights. They’re scared of their own voters—but we aren’t. Gov. Stein vetoed HB 958, and Dems will vote to uphold that veto, because we will protect every eligible voter’s right to cast a ballot that counts.

I used to have a sticker that said "Vote for Bush, because peace and prosperity are boring." I guess that could have just said "Republican" instead of "for Bush."

There is no such thing as a legal way to just “write it off” on your taxes. You can run almost anything through a business as long as it is used for your business. But adding your spouse to your business cell phone plan is fraud. No matter how much “everybody does it.”
What’s a thing from your area of expertise (or special interest) that you think it would behoove everyone else to know?

Speaking from experience, there is nothing like wrestling with a toddler while listening to a screaming baby in a 6X8 room while you wait for the pediatrician for what seems like forever. Pediatricians are notorious for never being backed up (not a knock on them). Now multiply it by 5.
Trump: "At one year, you should have 5 separate visits for vaccines rather than getting them all in the same day. I've seen proof of where they have a vaccination thing that looks like the size of a bottle of soda and pour it into a little child's body."

interesting to me that as the administration treats democratic-voting states like conquered or occupied territories, you don’t have pundits demanding the president respect “half the country”
NEW: In a stunning admission, the Trump administration admitted in court documents that it canceled billions in energy grants to states "based solely" on politics -- and whether that state was represented by Democrats and backed Harris in 2024.
