You know what feels more frustrating than parasocial or obnoxious strangers in content creator spaces? People whose name you known for a while that started decent but gradually fell off over time. They could become either the emotionally co-dependent/ingratiating type or the insecure incel, and etc.

Also included some Banana Bytes group photos. Remembered how contained the group photo was during MAG23-24, I think the fact that not everyone could fit into the frame on time just emphasized how big the turnout really was. So shoutout to the ones who weren’t able to be in frame but was still there!

Been feeling rested after plane trip, so wanted to say, MAG26 was great! Thank you to all the old and new friends I met, really happy with the turnout and how smooth the event felt despite the hotel lottery and initial updates lol. Here’s to hopefully next year attendance!

Writing this all out before NYE gets busy, Happy New Year’s Eve! Part of me feel like I didn’t do much this year, but it’s still great being able to have friends stick by, and within the past few months, I’m growing more appreciative of what the name “Katagi” means to me. Here’s to a good next year!

MAGFest 2026 is coming and it feels like there’s never enough time to get ready…but it’s going to be nice meeting back up with old friends after skipping MAG25! Tbh, I’m still on the fence about certain panels to attend or individuals I might encounter, but it’ll be fine. Maybe I’ll post pics here

Merry Christmas everyone! I had some leftover cream puff shells from Christmas Eve work so I took them home and tried to make a croquembouche for the fist time. Building one is unexpectedly difficult.

Late to the party (been fixing a cold+bad stuffy nose all week) but I wanted to give a shoutout to all the friends in my own small corner, and especially if I got to see you at MAG! Your presences keep life fulfilling and grounding for me and I could not have it any other way.

Late to the party (been fixing a cold+bad stuffy nose all week) but I wanted to give a shoutout to all the friends in my own small corner, and especially if I got to see you at MAG! Your presences keep life fulfilling and grounding for me and I could not have it any other way.
On a day like today, I am reminded of how there are YT content creators who still haven’t made a Discord server or Twitch channel for their communities despite over a decade into the business and it just kind of baffles me a little how so much damage could have been prevented. 🧵
