Trump administration refuses international election monitors for first time in over two decades

The decision not to invite observers from the OSCE puts the U.S. alongside Russia and Belarus, while the Justice Department prepares to deploy its own poll monitors.

Everyone involved in this process — including the Palantir employees — have to be investigated and probably go to jail.
NEW: DHS agents tracked people observing ICE arrests, photographed them, ran their plates, pulled personal information, and added them to a Palantir database, according to newly unsealed court filings.

DHS agents not only tracked and intimidated people observing ICE activity in Maine, but stored information about them in a Palantir-built database, newly unsealed court filings say.

They're holding up a major escalation in Iran and a crackdown on abortion until after the midterms to limit political damage.

To the extent that the last two years have been a right-wing smash-and-grab operation, the next two will be worse.
SCOOP: White House officials, led by Susie Wiles, have told DOJ to delay any abortion-related action until after the midterms

Wiles suggested to Todd Blanche that an aggressive approach on abortion would be negative for the GOP in November

This is so important. Support progressive sheriffs - and better yet, fight like hell to eliminate the unchecked sheriff system altogether (yes; it can be done - Connecticut did)
Last year, a resident of Maryland’s Wicomico County called on local officials to reject a contract with ICE. “It’s about fear and control,” she said.

Now, she is running for sheriff herself, challenging a longtime right-wing sheriff.

While ostensibly funny and a total self-own, let’s also remember that was a McArthyism tactic.

Were you in this place at this time? So you must have partaken in this secret meeting and thus are a communist, and therefore I can destroy your life.

It’s not boding well to revive these tactics.
Sen. Schmitt: “You fled to The Hague and prosecuted the president of Kosovo in 2020?”

Smith: “Yes, and he was just convicted of over 300 acts of torture and 96 murders.”

Sen. Schmitt: “And then you got a chance to come back to get Trump. Is that right?”

Smith: “That’s not right at all.”

Here’s the most incredible story you’ll read today.

A small plane with four people aboard crashes in a field.

Another pilot witnesses it. That pilot happens to be flying a bunch of skydivers. They offer to jump to assist, are given permission.

The skydivers happen to be EMTs. Everyone survives.

This. We watch them with suspicion, hesitate to call them, and assume the worst behavior (usually correctly). Just as communities of color have done for generations. It’s beyond repair.
The rise of 287(g) programs has meant that ICE is increasingly using local police as a very significant force multiplier, with up to 1 in 8 arrests of noncitizens in the interior now being carried out by state and local police.

This is going to have profound impacts on community relations.
But an increasing proportion of arrests have been made by local law enforcement in partnership with ICE, via 287(g) agreements.

In many regions, it can be difficult to know when local officers are conducting routine policework or immigration enforcement. In many cases, they are doing both.

What did she know and when did she know it? When she said to Navatek “You’ve seen me deliver” after her PAC received $150k? Or when she proudly announced a $9m federal grant to Navatek on her website? (Side note: she is selling herself too cheaply - at least get some serious bribes, Susan)
Susan Collins says she delivers for Maine, but we all know the truth. Her legacy is corruption and self-service.

So I worked all year on whittling down the thousands (!) of these races happening in 2026 to find the ones that matter most.
