One of the indivdiduals is alleged to have sent two threatening emails to Michigan Advance, part of the States Newsroom network. The emails allegedly contained threats to kill members of the Michigan Supreme Court, Whitmer and Benson, Attorney General Dana Nessel’s office said.

Dana Nessel called the decision to grant the stay "a shameful disservice to the Michigan public, who deserve to hear this case and have their day in court, against a defendant who was once one of the most powerful people in their government."

Michigan Supreme Court denies relief to sponsors of the citizens-only voting ballot measure, writing "Because the actions taken by the Board of State Canvassers in this case were discretionary, mandamus relief cannot issue." Justice Zahra (only Republican on the court) dissents in part.
An application to the Michigan Supreme Court is still pending, with no order from the state court as of this evening. Ballots must be finalized by tomorrow.

SCOTUS will not hear an application from Americans for Citizen Voting-Michigan to get its citizens-only voting ballot measure on November's ballot. Kavanaugh denied the application today.

The Democratic primary is already called by AP. Jocelyn Benson will head to the ballot in November, currently holding a nearly 70-point lead over Chris Swanson.
Polls close in Michigan in under a half hour (except for 4 U.P. counties) - I’ll be spending the night down in metro Detroit at watch parties for Perry Johnson and John James in the GOP gubernatorial primary.

Early (and I cannot emphasize enough, VERY early) results show James up with a significant lead over Johnson. Mike Cox and Aric Nesbitt are still on the ballot, despite both dropping out. Cox dropped out well into the absentee voting period and right now has double-digit support.
