#PitchDis this post is for you!!

My plan had been to read your queries this weekend and this coming week but alas... Murphy's Law has struck again and an old pipe has done what old pipes do 🚿🚱

Therefore, I will not be reading queries as quickly as I had hoped.👇🏽

New: Macklemore will donate entire $1M of his earnings from Ed Sheeran's tour to six orgs helping Palestinians — and invites Robert Kraft to match him.

Says he wants to center Palestinians being killed + journalists & aid workers who keep going.

"Their risk is of a far different order than mine."
With everything that has happened over the last 48 hours, I want to bring the conversation back to where it belongs: to the Palestinian people who are still being killed, still living under military occupation, and still fighting for their freedom. I will be donating the entire $1 million of my net earnings from Ed Sheeran's Loop Tour to six organizations working directly to support the Palestinian people. And I invite Robert Kraft to match my donation. Whatever we disagree about, perhaps we can agree on this: Palestinian lives are worth protecting. A Palestinian life is no less valuable than any other life on this earth. That is what this has always been about. Not me. Not a tour. Not the headlines or the controversy. It is about Palestinians right to freedom, dignity and safety in their own homeland. I want to center the parents carrying their children into hospitals without the basic resources to treat them, and the physicians, paramedics, journalists and aid workers who keep going back in. I want to center the organizers and activists who have paid real costs for standing with Palestine. Their risk is of a far different order than mine. Just yesterday, 15 year old Muhammad al Zinati was killed in an Israeli strike while rushing to help aid worker Sherif Lubbad, who had already been injured. He was a child. Both were murdered. Both should be alive. And the ones still under the rubble, whose names exist only in the memories of people who may not have survived to speak them. Writing a check is one of the least costly forms of solidarity available to me. I am doing it because I can, and because these organizations are doing the work while much of the world debates it. But aid alone cannot address the conditions that make it necessary. This is a manmade injustice, and I believe it requires immediate political change. Palestinians have lived for decades without basic rights and should not have to wait another day to be free. That is where my focus will remain. I will …

Apple charges people ~20% more than the Patreon list price and they keep the difference for themselves. They also hold the proceeds of iOS app sales for 75 days, making it impossible for creators to accurately predict earnings. They basically inserted themselves in order to rip *more* people off

Any of you using the ios version of Patreon to support me, switch to the browser version instead, cuz the apple fees have actually taken over 3000 usd from me in the course of a year

Using lists of three is not an "AI tell." It's a common trait in human writing because our brains biologically want to make sure there's always one thing to marry, one thing to fuck, and one thing to murder.

A trope map for E.M. Anderson’s The Lord of the Wood with gold text on a dark background reading, “plant magic,” “sentient forest trying to oops! murder people,” “intensely homoerotic shaving scene,” “wound-tending,” “love interest turning slowly into a beast,” “dual-POV brother and sister,” “Beauty and the Beast-inspired but not a retelling,” “the one who heard the stories and the one who was in the stories,” and “hopeless romantic who’s clueless about his own sexuality.” Centered among the text is the cover of E.M. Anderson’s The Lord of the Wood. The cover is blue, paler in the center and darker at the edges, with a central image of a stag of foliage and flowers growing from a tree whose upper branches drip black ooze, with the tagline “Even a beastly woodland protector needs saving...” and then smushed chaotically between the gold text in blue font are more tropes: SECRET LESBIANS!!!!! "long covid" rep, there's only 1 bed, FORCED PROXIMITY x2!!, KNIFE LESBIAN!!!!!

an INCREDIBLE ending to today's memes lmao

for context I had told no one basically anything about the book except Vic in little bits and pieces bc I hadn't figured out much about it yet

so they created a conspiracy board about it and finally got a PowerPoint presentation with more info
