It is finally finished! I had been rereading through the Redwall books, and I read through Mossflower and remembered how much I really liked that book (one of my favorites!).

It can't be done to the newer carriers. The volume taken up by the electrical cables that run power from below up to the flight deck is smaller than the volume of ducting that used to pipe steam to the catapults. There's no room.

This is absolutely ridiculous. For all its potential pitfalls, the Ford aircraft carriers are built entirely around the EMALS system, and "replacing" it with steam catapults - which require large amounts of space and personnel - is simply not a realistic option. www.wsj.com/us-news/trum...

I've learned over time that the furry fandom is too big for everyone to see eye to eye on everything. and that's ok. surround yourselves with people that validate you. be weird. be niche. don't try to be the everyman of the fandom, because it's not possible.
