I’m sorry but the only way the US possibly regains any credibility with the world at this point is to hold the Trump admin to account. People arguing for back-to-normal Bidenism have totally lost the plot.

[fantasy] the year is 2028 and the Dem candidate looks into the microphone and says, "France, if you're listening, I hope you're able to find the 3 million Epstein files that are missing. I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press."

the Trump regime just gave a $500 handout of my hard earned tax dollars to millions of people to bribe them to vote Republican and I can't even hand out bottled water to tired voters standing in line or I'll go to jail

Well, this is cute. I looked up an #AirCanada flight in Firefox and then pasted the URL into a Chromium window where I was logged into my #Aeroplan Elite account. Air Canada added $300 to the flight price when I tried to load it from a logged-in browser. Hell of a customer loyalty perk!

ICE took two more people from my local courthouse today. The wife of one of the guys who was taken showed up shortly after. She just had surgery. She was worried about paying rent and feeding her kids. This is happening *every day* in Massachusetts. Lives are being destroyed every single day.

I'm sorry but I want to see him held to account and not die thinking he won, and I want that not only for the satisfaction it will give me but far more importantly for the message that it will send to future Trumps
When the bad man finally drops dead we can all move on. We'll still be sharing a country with countless people who gleefully aided and abetted his crimes but they probably won't do it again

The Army announced last year that it had enough of a model of armored vehicle and that any more deliveries would be “excess.” But Congress found a way to keep funding alive for the vehicle, and executives at the company found a way to flood key members of Congress with donations. buff.ly/nbAEUVa

For U.S. Senate, Texans deserve Talarico's service over Paxton's self-interest www.statesman.com/opinion/edit...
We'll take Talarico's service over Paxton's self-interest | Endorsement
The next U.S. senator should focus on Texans’ needs. Rep. James Talarico understands that charge; Attorney General Ken Paxton has repeatedly failed it, the Editorial Board writes.

"South Korea has already run the experiment. Its law requires the National Assembly to vote on presidential impeachment by anonymous ballot, and that rule has now removed two presidents." [@andycraig.bsky.social]
A Democratic Senate Should Adopt Secret Impeachment Ballots on a Priority Basis
Such a change, requiring no constitutional amendment, would free senators to vote their judgment instead of their fears

the fact that he can shoot Christian scripture like little Marxist bullets aimed directly at fashy Christian Nationalists is 😙👌
I hate to put trust in any human being but James Talarico's centeredness and calm, informed, polite, brutal argumentation style sure is a breath of fresh air the likes of which I have not seen in a US politician in a long, long time

strong "Elon pays me to play Diablo" vibes here
Just saw someone say their AI runs their fantasy football team and I can’t stop laughing. Like, I’m sure everyone’s doing it or something but it’s very funny to me that pretending to be a team manager was so hard that you needed to pretend to pretend to be a team manager

THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING I HAVE READ IN YEARS
The Constitution allows it. South Korea has proven it works. If you want to make impeachment viable—and so much else is pointless if you don't—then it can be done by a simple majority adopting a simple rules change: vote on the verdict by secret ballot.

it's considered election tampering for you and me to hand out bottled water to people standing in line to vote
Relative got a $500 check from US Treasury and a shocking letter full of lies signed by Trump and ending with "May God bless you". Basically a pre-electoral bribe. News reports say they're sending almost a million of these. Full text in alt below. (I told him to cash it quick before it bounces.)

SOFTWARE SECURITY STORY TIME

So for a while I dated a programmer. She got a new contract with a consulting company in town that had homegrown an e-commerce nuke and was going around selling installations of it to various businesses around town that didn't have much web presence.
not that this should be the takeaway, or even a silver lining, but it's... something that this is how so many businesses are going to realize how insecure their systems are.

and no, mom didn't work in a programming environment with live syntax correction, copy & paste, or any of that.

you typed it all in, and then ran it, and then debugged it line by line
as if that isn't already impressive enough she was an assembly/COBOL/FORTRAN programmer who had never seen BASIC. she flowcharted the entire process, then pseudocoded it, then -- *using just the BASIC manual that came with the computer -- handwrote it all out for my dad to painstakingly punch in
