The wallet-sized optical media format: Optical Cards. Not flash memory like MMC/SDCard but with thousands of laser-read tracks.
I ran across a mention of them in an MSX magazine as a hot new storage option. These were W.O.R.M format media (Write Once Read Many), so similar to a CD-R in that regard.
