My least favorite part of culture wars - and there's a lot - is the sometimes complete refusal to believe anyone can change or shift opinion. I *still* know people who claim Obama is homophobic and we can't trust him *after he passed gay marriage into law*.

Wow. Every single one of Ed Sheeran's opening acts for his tour AND his backing band all dropped out. I don't think I expected that.

Going on a cruise in a couple weeks, sailing out of Vancouver. Been planning it for literally 2 years. One of the biggest perks was docking in San Francisco and spending a full day and a half exploring the city.

My inability to fall asleep last night caused me to push the alarm for an hour and then another 30 minutes. I only got 45 minutes to write this morning and I couldn’t do my first cardio, so things are a little off. And I am still so sleepy. Hopefully we will correct that tonight.

There are just LOTS of tiki events happening during Boston Rum Week, and I had a ticket to one of them tonight but I’m like … I need a tiny little tiki break. So I’m eating the cost of my ticket to spend some quiet time at the library writing and I’m very happy. Back to tiki extremely soon.

I saw a reel today where a woman with HARD Mar-a-Lago face said she didn’t care if 47 bombed Iran out of existence, so long as she got her $5,000 check. Now all of this is predicated on lies and idiocy, but wow. The price for your soul is $5000.

The Brian Fallon show was so good and even if I didn’t know all of the songs, the ones I did were emotional gut punches. Very excited that he did “Rosemary,” and only slightly sad that there was no “Watson” or “Positive Charge.” Thrilled to see a concert in the afternoon!

Sometimes I browse through heritage auctions and I find the occasional odd gem, but today I stumbled upon the mother-load: these ridiculous grocery store ads promoting the release of The Jungle Book, and each one has me absolutely reeling. Sharing them here so you too can share in my bewildered joy
