Watched ParaNorman and was happy to learn Deborah Cook was Costume Designer for the movie! Love it when the art stretches the boundaries into animation. She had to research 1800's purtian looks as well as vintage 80's and contemporary 90's looks. Amazing! 👻💃🧙‍♀️💚

A still from the stop-motion animated film ParaNorman, showing Norman and his family standing in their living room. On the left, a translucent green ghost of an elderly woman floats near an armchair. Norman, a boy with spiky dark hair and a red-and-white shirt, stands in the foreground. Behind him stand his mother in a pink cat sweater, his round-bellied father in a red plaid shirt, and his teenage sister with a high blonde ponytail looking unimpressed. A grid of nine stop-motion character puppets from ParaNorman, each standing on a black pedestal against a dark grey background. The characters include bullies, ghosts, and family members in various poses, featuring Norman in the center, the bully Alvin in the top left, the ghost girl Agatha in the top middle, and the rotund friend Neil on the middle right.

Deeply saddened to hear of the passing of our colleague Bob Mackie. He was a beloved member of our Guild and a Mentor of the craft. Truly one of those talents that show success and kindness go hand in hand.
