It ain't helping when you got scumfucks like Gavin Newsom who look at bills that people voted for and just decide "nah don't wanna" and veto them.
I don’t understand why people just jump to the conclusion that voters are the root of electoral outcomes but don’t consider that the people who control the most sophisticated ‘info’ output & surveillance networks on the globe have figured out how to reliably subvert the democratic process by now

I saw another Amory review recently where he panned SCTV for being “collegiate”.

Just found out that Matt Howarth died. One of the purest examples of the explosion of creativity that happened in American comics in the 1980s, his weird take on genre tropes was totally individual and uncommercial. RIP.

Ray convinced me (and later my mom) to watch HIM, and they're right! The ending kinda biffs it, but it's worth it. I honestly think HIM went too hard on the awfulness of football culture and pissed a bunch of people off.
I know HIM got bad reviews but it's a solid horror movie with something to say and it deserves a critical reappraisal.

Marjoe Gortner died. If anyone here hasn't seen the documentary Marjoe, I cannot recommend it highly enough. Basically, Marjoe was a child preacher who ended up becoming disillusioned with the obvious grift, so he did one final tour with a documentary crew to completely expose everything.
