update on this is that two separate women in their seventies asked me if I knew I had an incredible voice, like "a radio person's" today. which honestly is really nice bc usually I am like oh my god my voice sounds like a rusted-shut gate everyone is going to think I am ELEVEN and HORRIBLE
extremely funny to me new development is that 50+yr old women at work keep thinking I'm sick and commenting that I sound nasally or congested and I have had to say "oh no that's from the testosterone that I'm injecting into my leg weekly to trans my gender," at a rapidly increasing rate

Richard Shindell is playing Southgate House, an all-time fave venue, in October, & while I'm excited to see a songwriter I've loved for 20yrs in a converted punk church it's also like. try telling 15yrold me "Richard Shindell is playing at a location where you've had gay sex in the bathroom"
