Studying GPCRs is fun because I get to get into the lab and Google LSD as my first order of business.

Also people should be more embarrassed of how boring they reveal themselves to be by listening to their AI tiktokified slop videos in public.

I don't think people really understand the psychic impact of knowing that multiple times a day every day your friends, family, coworkers, neighbors, and everyone who could ever have any power over you is being flooded with agitprop designed to make them hate you
i've seen this ad three times already today

Congrats to Guangfeng Zhou, Ph.D., who joins the Wistar Institute in Philly as an assistant professor!

Guangfeng was one of the first grad students to join my lab at Temple in 2011 when *I* was an assistant prof; he went on to trailblaze AI-based drug discovery at the IPD at Univ. of Washington

Do not make a craphical abstract
How to use AI for your grapgical abstracts:
- do not
- dont even think about it
- congrats now everyone thinks your paper is made up data and you plagiarised the results
- lost all scientific credibility

New preprint! Do all kinase domains have similar activation mechanisms?
We steer AlphaFold2 using "transfer seeding" of known kinases to sample 8.3 ms of MD simulations via Folding@home. We find unique pathways that are kinase-specific and depend on different elements!

Now out in the Special Issue on "New Concepts in Drug Discovery: Drug residence time!"

Edited by Markus Seeliger & Ruth Nussinov, the reviews cover new computational and experimental methodologies for predicting ligand affinity & kinetics.

More protein-ligand data are needed for AlphaFold-like models (& AI/ML) to enable prospective design!

Check out our piece in "Current Opinion in Structural Biology" – Equal parts a thank-you-letter to the PDB & summarizes how datasets will enable task-focused models!

Kinda like The Order funneled money from their bank robberies into early internet infrastructure as a long game propaganda tool, forming the contemporary global fascist movement and that technocracy has uncritically trained the machines they wish to extract "free" labor from on it.

Pleasantly surprised this morning to wake up to both the first preprint of my postdoc and first preprint using my new name :)

We used a combination of experiment and simulation to tease out the mechanistic basis of specific recognition of FcγRIIa.
